Assisted Living residents have several opportunities to get out, enjoy Colorado, and spend time with neighbors:

• August 17: Scenic drive with Quinn
• August 20: Flower picking at Yetman's Farm
• August 22: Candelas Fest

Because outing times differ by care setting, residents and families should use the published Assisted Living or Memory Care calendar for the dated daily lineup.

Stories and shared experiences

On August 5, Stonebridge welcomes Evie for Share a Story, an opportunity for residents to contribute memories and advice to a book project. Resident Story Telling returns August 18, giving neighbors another chance to listen, reminisce, and learn more about one another.

The calendars also feature Science with Trina, flower arranging, live music, creative workshops, games, movement programs, and a Staff Talent Show. Together, they offer both lively group moments and quieter ways to stay curious and connected.

Know your neighbor: Doug

This month's resident spotlight introduces Doug, whose interests include reading, classical music, Motown, and the Beatles. He remembers Puerto Vallarta as a favorite vacation destination and says Evergreen can feel like a vacation of its own.

Doug attended prep school, earned a scholarship to Yale, and was a founding parent of Jeffco Open School. His advice is simple and thoughtful: always try to see both sides of a problem.

Clubs that keep conversation going

The newsletter highlights several recurring ways to gather:

• Women's Coffee Club: every other Tuesday at 9:15 AM in the Bistro
• Men's Coffee Club: Wednesdays at 9:15 AM
• Arts and Crafts: Wednesdays and Thursdays at 2:00 PM in the activity room
• Card Games Club: Saturdays at 3:00 PM in the library

Celebrating Janelle

Stonebridge's August Employee of the Month is Janelle from dining services. The newsletter recognizes her kindness, positive attitude, welcoming smile, and the way she helps residents, families, and team members feel at home.

Supporting Alzheimer's fundraising

Stonebridge is supporting Alzheimer's fundraising throughout August:

• Fundraiser items are available at the front desk.
• Residents and team members are invited to wear purple on Fridays.
• Community participation helps keep the cause visible throughout the month.
